Living in a mobile home may sound cramped for some, but for others, it may sound exciting – a happy adventure waiting to happen.

With a large automobile to use, imagination and help from construction professionals, one can have the mobile home of his dreams.

The Pak Media explained how mobile homes are constructed.

“Materials derived to produce a mobile home are the same derived to build a site-built home, the only difference is that they are designed in a factory, and later transported to a site to be assembled. Materials in a manufactured home include 2×4 and 4×4 frames, insulation, shingles, siding, and mostly anything else derived in a site-built home.”

Constructing a tiny home

This man featured over at ABC News says he built a mobile home because he got tired of paying for rent.

“The bus has wood floors and a white ceiling. Its kitchen and dining area include a deep sink, fridge, freezer and mini diner-style booth. The bathroom, which is the length of two windows on the bus, has a fully functioning hot-and-cold water shower and working toilet, both drain into a 32 gallon waste tank. Across the bathroom is a storage area for clothes and bedding. And at the back of the bus is a full queen-size bed.”

This couple meantime built their new home from a school bus as shared by the website Domain.

“Charmed by the tiny home trend and put off by the rising property market, Julie and Andrew Puckett decided to do something a little different. And so the creative couple from Atlanta bought an old school bus for $US10,000.00 ($13,816) and later transformed it into a cozy mobile home. Luckily, the 1990 Bluebird was already in great working condition, it just needed some extra TLC to convert it into a fully-fledged ‘House Bus‘. Five months’ worth of renovating later, the small space is now a quaint dwelling complete with all the trimmings; a working toilet and shower, a spacey kitchen, a double bed, and plenty of cabinets to store necessities.”
